Meets Fridays, November 6, 13, and 20 from 5 - 7 PM
The world is overrun with disposable advent calendars chasing fleeting trends (except for the Bon Maman calendar - we will always stan a tiny glass jar!). Why not craft your own heirloom wool advent calendar that you can pull out year after year? We’ll start from scratch with a large piece of wool felt and adorn and stitch it with a mix of embroidery, machine sewing, and hand-stitching. We’ll provide a basic template but you can customize with names, motifs, and even beads and sequins!
All materials provided. Over the course of class - and depending on student progress - we may even have the opportunity to craft some of the tiny gifts for the advent calendar. And if not? We will provide lots of ideas for free, low-cost, and secondhand objects to tuck inside your advent pockets.
