Meets Saturdays, January 24 and 31 from 1 - 4 PM
Entering the world of patchwork and quilting can feel daunting when you think about committing to a massive, bed-sized project. Enter the Tiny Quilt Party - a set of quilty workshops aimed at creating fun, useful small quilts. We’ll cover the basics of patchwork through a few different methods: traditional machine piecing, English paper-piecing, and improvisational piecing. Then we’ll work on quilting by hand and machine, and explore the various ways to bind and finish our work. By the end of class, you could have (depending on your sewing stamina!) a set of mug rugs, placemats, quilted fabric for garments and accessories, and/or a wall hanging. You’re only limited by your creativity!
Machines and tools provided. We’ll have a selection of scrap fabric to play with, but you are welcome to bring a few fat quarters of fabric (or scraps of your own to share with the group!).
